Tarbela Dam Haripur is a world largest Dam, located on Tarbela town, Indus River, Haripur, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. It was start working in 1976, it’s a very huge water management project. It is Distance from Haripur is about to 54.8km or 1hr 32min and from Islamabad is about 111km or 1 hr 52 min far.

Tarbela Dam Haripur is the second largest dam in the world and was designed to store water from the Indus River for irrigation, flood control, and the generation of hydroelectric power, its reservoir capacity is about to 11.62 million acre feet (14.3 billion cubic meters). The project was executed by under the Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) on behalf of the Government of Pakistan.
