Sindh Madressatul Islam University Karachi is one of the oldest institute, famous as a chartered in South Asia, located near I.I. Chandigarh Road, near Habib Bank Plaza, Aiwan-e-Tijarat Road, Seari Quarters, Sindh, Pakistan. It was established in 1885, by the great educationist of his times, Khan Bahadur Hassan ally Effendi and designed by famous architect James Strachan. This university spread an area around 8 acres of land which is a very wide range.

SMIU University Karachi has started as a school in 1885, then became a successful college in 1943, and now a university opened in February 2012.
