Mohatta Palace
Mohatta Palace Karachi is a well-known old historical museum, located at Hatim Alvi Road, Clifton, Sindh, Pakistan. It was built in 1927, under the supervision of the architect Ahmed Hussein Agha. He is one of the first Muslim architects of India, came from Jaipur to take up the assignment, and complete it very nicely. This Palace spread a size around 18,500 sq ft by the land.
Similarly, the most famous a Marwari businessman, Shivratan Chandraratan Mohatta give the idea to architect "Ahmed Hussein Agha" to build this beautiful Palace for their family which was very near to the sea view beach Clifton Karachi. Thus, the design of whole building structure is unique and traditional. It also has the nine domes in it, the windows of the palace are covered with traditional style with blue colored all over on it, the upper floor of the Mohatta Palace rooms are made it like royal and luxury accordingly, the furniture which is used are outstanding and very comfortable and maintained it very nicely.
Moreover, since years ago, the beautiful Mohatta Palace Karachi was purchased by the Government of Sindh, after that, Mohatta Palace was converted into Mohatta Palace Museum Karachi for the visitors.
In fact, all around the globe, tons of families, tourist, foreigners visit to this magnificent Palace and gather all the information about the past history in a very professional way.
Millions of the history lovers, students, come to visit in weekly basis, but, unfortunately, photography are not allowed inside the Museum.
