BVS Parsi High School Karachi as Bai Virbaiji Soparivala Parsi High School is a well moderate design school, located at Magazine Line, Saddar, Pakistan. From a very humble beginning more than a Century ago, the BVS Parsi School has become an institution of distinction. It was opened on 23 May 1859, as “The Parsi Balakshala” or Children’s school.

The BVS Parsi High School (Bai Virbaiji Soparivala Parsi High School) approach is to provide an education which serves the Intellectual, Social, Moral, Physical and Emotional needs of the children. The Staff & the Managing Committee of BVS High School is committed to create and maintain an orderly, trusting and caring environment.

All aspects of the school organization, curricular and co-curricular activities are child centered, aiming to develop young people who show an ability to think critically, problem solve, become lifelong learners, have a sense of understanding and compassion for others and have the courage to act on their beliefs. Our curriculum optimizes potential, and builds personal responsibility. We are dedicated to the individual development of attitudes, skills knowledge and responsibility essential to successful achievement in school and society.

In June 1862, Seth Shapurji Hormusji Soparivala was appointed the secretary and In May 1870, Bai Virbaiji Soparivala donated his personal two story house on Frere Street to be used as a co-education vernacular school in the memory of his beloved late wife. BVS Parsi High School opening ceremony was performed on 24th September 1870, by the Commissioner of Sindh Sir William Mereweather.

Currently boys are given houses colours evenly as they get admitted to class 1 to 6. Intense competitive nature is cultivated between houses during the annual sports activities and daily outdoor sports, plus others and houses competitions.
